HERMES
"With the price tag of a Birkin starting around $7,000(USD) now, many people may wonder why the large price tag. The artisans meticulously work on each Birkin, spending between 18 to 25 hours creating it. The Paris workrooms produce only five Birkins per week, which then are supplied world wide. It now makes sense why the wait lists are so long. Yet luxury prices continue to go through the roof."

i'm working to eventually owning one exquisitely stitched birkin!
if ever one day i am ready to purchase, i think i'd be torned between the range of colors!
i love the
black - cause' it's easy to go and it's subtle, it does not scream for attention and i like that
red - cause' it's hot. enough said.
mustard - it looks way cool even when i'm older and when i carry it with laid back jeans and brown chucky heels! and it's a very eartly color tone. it matches clearly with almost anything!
one would have to wait years for this bag (we are talking about 4 to 5 years onwards!), i promise. the first time i entered hermes store was with my mum when i was in secondary school and i remember ee-ing at their bags. i mean, it was awful with ostrich skin fabric then. i still don't like it but i understand it's costing a lot higher than their normal leather ones. but then, i already knew this brand wasn't for tom dick or harry. surely carrying this statement bag reflects a lot about one. i can't stop but turn my head to take a second glance at the much sought after every time my eye detects it. and of course, give a smile at the (very) lucky owner.
i know people slog hard day and night just to own one of these bags. and hearing first hand from my aunt, they don't sell to any one who walks into their store (i don't think this happens in singapore, but in Paris - yes!) you have to dress up to the nines before anyone would service you in the store and offer you the bag for the day. yes, they have only 1-2 bags on sale every day. those bags on display, are unfortunately, not for immediate-sales. they take in orders only, for you to be on the waiting list. each bag is hand-stitched! ten over grands (the least) for this bag, wait for 5 (plus plus) years - worth it or not, for a bag - you decide!
CHANEL
this bag needs NO introduction.

i personally prefer the classic flap bag as compared to the reissue!
a story to the bag 2.55;
"Coco Chanel grew up in an orphanage/convent, therefore, the double chain shoulder strap comes from when the children’s’ caretakers in the orphanage would dangle keys from their waists with the same type of chains as on the Reissue. Also, the zippered compartment on the inside of the front flap of the Reissue is where Coco sequestered her love letters, as she was having an affair at that time. The brownish red color of the inside represents the color of Coco and the rest of the children’s uniforms (the nuns’ were black with white trim: thus, the packaging on Chanel Parfum/Eau de Parfum/Eau de Toilette). The back outside flap of the Reissue actually marks where Coco would stash extra money!"
doesn't it add so much more meaning to a bag!

REBECCA MINKOFF
not a lot of rave on this brand (which is good) we need logo free handbags once in a while don't we!
this is the morning after night bag.

PRADA
i hate to comment about the latest fairies print series. i don't really like them. but prada's basics are the classic buys, no? :D
the new turquoise color is quite hawt too!
Prada Crispy Nylon Tote (what cute name)

perfect for the weekend or workplace.
MIU MIU
i adore their shoes and bags, and their very over priced but pretty clothings! i've always admired their use of colors.
they always carry big bags that scream fun! if you must know i'm not exactly a fan of small evening bags. maybe it just doesn't reflect my personality.
CHLOE

similar to Marc Jacobs', im really attracted to their chucky chains! and chloe surely carries large sized bags!

i think bags and shoes makes your whole outfit. the cost of clothes isn't very important as long as they look good on me! haha, doesnt it boils down to how you carry it off at the end of the day? i can't emphasize enough about my love for cheap thrills <3
so i'm working towards getting a statement bag for myself. i don't know how long more i have to wait but i know it's good to have a goal (ok, quite vague). cause i know i still have my priority new year resolution: to save! the shopping mall is not my playground cause i'm still a student, i know. i hope my mum would take out her new bags still kept in tied boxes to use, soon! not expecting too much but she could start with one. i'm so afraid they will end up mouldy and it would be totally wasted to give them away or see them in bad condition! leather bags need to be sunned every now and then, right? mom, i can do that for you, voluntarily & gladly!
as for shoes i can gladly settle for my humble looking existing comfy pumpsss since i hardly stride out of home in heels (although i love love chunky brown heels or wedges). i'll just end up looking like a towering giant in town. speaking of which, i would like to change my wallet too.
this post is just so redundant. i should be in bed at this hour.
goodbye!
